Elon softball splits doubleheader against Detroit Mercy, Michigan State

Elon finishes the tournament tomorrow with games against Detroit Mercy and the East Carolina Pirates. The games will begin approximately at 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Elon University women’s basketball wins final regular season game

Elon will receive a first-round bye in the CAA Tournament and will play its first game on March 11 against the College of Charleston Cougars at 2:30 p.m. The tournament will be hosted by Drexel University at Daskalakis Athletic Center.

Elon continues the Elon Softball Cardinal Classic — the team’s third home tournament of the season — on Saturday with games against the University of Detroit Mercy and Michigan State. The first game at Hunt Softball Park will begin at approximately 12 p.m.

Elon University Student Government Association’s joint committee votes to raise executive board stipend to $8,000 each term

For the next term the pay will break down to $15 an hour, working 10 hours a week over a 53 week Senate term. The term was also extended by a week to allow the executive board to be paid for the transition week when the new board is sworn in. SGA’s joint committee, made up of their finance board and judicial committee, voted unanimously with nine students present to make this change.

North Carolina’s new districts change expected election outcomes

North Carolina’s redistricted maps have been approved by the state's Supreme Court, but North Carolina Republicans have appealed to federal courts— a process that will take an uncertain amount of time. For now, the districts will remain as the state’s courts have approved.
