Elon University students wanting to grab a drink in downtown Elon are going to have to plan for an earlier night out this fall. Statewide curfews are forcing restaurants in North Carolina to stop selling alcohol after 11 p.m. to help combat the spread of coronavirus.
When senior Peter Fortunato first picked up a camera during his internship with the Durham Bulls, it would start a years-long journey that got him to be the new interim video and graphics coordinator for the Elon University athletic department. Elon University’s graduates have experienced the hardships of the job market during the pandemic, considering they were sent home during the spring semester of their senior years and are now struggling to obtain employment. Compared to last year, there are 57 fewer students on campus for fall semester. Greg Zaiser, the vice president of enrollment, said he found that notable considering the COVID-19 pandemic.
