Elon football stumbles to No. 11 in the nation

Elon University football (4-2, 2-1) fell to No. 11 in both the FCS Coaches Poll and in the STATS FCS Top 25. This comes on the heels of the team’s 28-16 loss – its first FCS loss of the year – against the University of Delaware.

Cleaning up Michael’s mess on campus

Wendy Williams and other members of Physical Plant race to clear campus of debris caused by Hurricane Michael. The storm showered Alamance County with 2.5 inches of rain and had wind gusts up to 56 mph, leaving more than a dozen trees down and plenty of debris to clean.

Moseley Center turned into a student shelter

Moseley Center opened as a student shelter for those staying in residences without power. The building was opened to the student body after the announcement of the continued power outage in the Station at Mill Point and across South Campus.

Football falls on the road to Delaware

No. 5 Elon Football (4-2) fell to the University of Delaware (4-2) on Saturday 28-16. Elon was hampered by injuries that could prove to be much more costly than losing this game. This loss comes just one week after beating James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Rains from Tropical Storm Michael drench Elon

On the first full day of Fall Break, rains and winds from Tropical Storm Michael wreaked havoc on Elon University. Alamance County declared a state of emergency and was under a slew of weather alerts, including a flash flood warning and a tornado watch.

Goodrum and No. 13 UNCW take down Elon

The Elon University Phoenix (3-7-1) took on the University of North Carolina Wilmington Seahawks (9-2-1) ranked No. 13 in the country on Wednesday night. In the on-and-off rain and intense humidity, the Phoenix were unable to break a six-game winless streak against the Seahawks who were yet to lose a game in the CAA conference, falling 2-0.
