SGA holds its final business meeting of 2018-2019 legislative year

SGA held its final business meeting of the 2019-2020 legislative year following its election announcements. To wrap up the year, the senate approved three special allocations and approved two pieces of legislation. One piece gave women more access to hygiene products and the other educated the body about environmental concerns in Alamance County.

Elon submits request for alternative voter ID

Elon University will not be changing all Phoenix Cards to meet the requirements for a voter identification card and has instead applied to provide an alternative ID card to students who request one.

Petition against noise ordinance change gaining popularity

A petition to change the Town of Elon noise ordinance is circulating social media with thousands of signatures, gaining more every hour. The change in the noise ordinance was voted into effect this January, making it no longer required for police to issue a verbal warning on a noise complaint call before writing a citation.

Majority of eligible Elon faculty vote in favor of union at university

Town of Elon toughens its stance on noise complaints
