A Burlington man, who previously attended Elon University, was arrested April 21 and charged with four counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Nikolaos Alexander Fotiou, 18, was taken to the Alamance County Detention Center and is being held there under no bond, as of April 24. According to a Burlington Police Department press release, the Invictus Task Force aided with the investigation.

Fotiou has a scheduled court hearing May 13. Fotiou waived his right to a public attorney and retained, meaning he will hire a private attorney of his own.
According to Elon’s registrar’s office, Fotiou was previously a student at Elon but is not currently enrolled.
