“Sensory Overload” is Elon University’s first site-specific theatrical performance

“Sensory Overload” is one of Elon’s first site-specific productions. There have been several dance performances in the past that have been site-specific, but this is considered by writer and director sophomore Matthew Bobzien to be the first within the performing arts department on the theatre side.

Elon football earns bounce back win against Towson

With Saturday’s win against Towson, the Phoenix are 5-5 overall and 4-3 in conference play. Elon faces the University of Rhode Island on Senior Day at Rhodes Stadium on November 20 to close the season. A win against Rhode Island would give the program its first winning season since 2018, when the Phoenix also finished 6-5.

Elon University men’s basketball wins home opener

The Elon University men’s basketball team came away from its 2021 home opener with its first win of the season, as the Phoenix defeated the Randolph College WildCats in an impressive offensive display, 107-62.

Elon University cross country complete team seasons

Elon University’s cross country teams completed the team portion of their seasons at the NCAA Southeast Regional meet, with the women’s team placing ninth and the men’s team 21st. The NCAA will announce 13 at-large selections for the NCAA Championships on Nov. 13 at 5 p.m. Neither Elon’s men’s or women’s team has ever earned an at-large selection to the event.

Elon University men’s soccer beats Northeastern, advances to CAA title match

Elon will face the Hofstra University Pride in the championship match on Sunday at 1 p.m. The winner of the match will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Tech week at Elon University takes toll on dancer’s body, mental health

This year, dancers will be able to perform maskless, but audience members will be required to wear masks during the performance. Social distancing regulations have been put in place requiring six feet between dancers and the front row of the audience, with the audience wearing masks during performances.
