Elon faces the University of Rhode Island on Senior Day at Rhodes Stadium on November 20 to close the season. A win against Rhode Island would give the program its first winning season since 2018, when the Phoenix also finished 6-5.
The Elon University men’s basketball team came away from its 2021 home opener with its first win of the season, as the Phoenix defeated the Randolph College WildCats in an impressive offensive display, 107-62.
Elon University’s cross country teams completed the team portion of their seasons at the NCAA Southeast Regional meet, with the women’s team placing ninth and the men’s team 21st. The NCAA will announce 13 at-large selections for the NCAA Championships on Nov. 13 at 5 p.m. Neither Elon’s men’s or women’s team has ever earned an at-large selection to the event.
Elon will face the Hofstra University Pride in the championship match on Sunday at 1 p.m. The winner of the match will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
