Musical theatre students to present ‘Once on This Island’

A timely production showcasing some of the most celebrated and cherished elements of black culture will open Thursday, Feb. 14, in McCrary Theatre. Elon University’s musical theatre production of “Once on This Island” utilizes African dancing, drums and storytelling as motifs throughout the show.

Steven House issues an update on petition to unionize

Provost Steven House updated Elon University on a petition previously filed by the Service Employees International Union, Workers United Southern Region (SEIU) on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018. In the petition, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) demanded that the university hold a vote among adjunct, limited-term and visiting faculty members on the subject of forming a labor union at Elon.
