Young Musicians of Alamance are making music and creating change

Chatter fills the room as an assortment of about 60 elementary, middle and high students of the Young Musicians of Alamance program unpack their instruments in First Reformed United Church. The program serves children in Title 1 schools across Alamance county by providing music education.

Refugees farming for change in Chapel Hill

Just down the path from where students disembarked from their vehicles were steaming pots of traditional Burmese dishes, children at play and volunteers chatting with local community members. This incubator farm, also a cultural center for Burmese refugees, hosts community events as a form of local outreach.

Elon men's soccer stuns Duke at home

Upsets were in the air amidst a raucous crowd at Rudd Field, as the ACC powerhouse the Duke University Blue Devils (6-5-1) (2-3-0 ACC) traveled to Elon (5-7-1) (0-5-0 CAA) to take on the Phoenix on Tuesday night. The Phoenix downed the Blue Devils 3-2 in exciting fashion.

Elon volleyball downs Delaware

Elon volleyball (8-10, 4-2 CAA) defeated the Delaware Blue Hens (11-4, 3-2 CAA) in Schar Center on Oct. 13 in five sets after a competitive back and forth game. This was a bounce-back conference win for Elon volleyball after losing their past two previous conference games.
