The transition to the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) has been a mixed experience for Elon University thus far.
The Elon University women’s soccer team had a difficult end to its season in 2014. After a victory over the University of Delaware on Senior Day, the Phoenix had to travel to the College of William & Mary, Towson University and James Madison University to conclude its season. The result: three losses, two of which were shutouts, on the road in the span of seven days. Any hope that the team wouldn’t have an end-of-season road trip again was thwarted when the schedule was released.

Earlier this week, Bryant committed to Brigham Young University over Butler University, University of Miami and University of Dayton, all of which offered him. Questions still remained, as Bryant did not respond to requests from The Pendulum and other media outlets that covering Elon.
Elijah Bryant, a starting guard for the Elon University men's basketball team, announced Tuesday on his Instagram account that he has transferred to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Elon University associate head baseball coach Greg Starbuck has taken a position as a volunteer assistant at Clemson University, new Tigers coach Monte Lee announced Tuesday. Starbuck, 51, spent the last 17 years at Elon as the recruiting coordinator and batting and baserunning instructor. At Clemson, he'll work with hitters, infielders and catchers. The move breaks up one of the longest-tenured coaching staffs in all of Division I baseball.
