Rains from Tropical Storm Michael drench Elon

On the first full day of Fall Break, rains and winds from Tropical Storm Michael wreaked havoc on Elon University. Alamance County declared a state of emergency and was under a slew of weather alerts, including a flash flood warning and a tornado watch.

Goodrum and No. 13 UNCW take down Elon

The Elon University Phoenix (3-7-1) took on the University of North Carolina Wilmington Seahawks (9-2-1) ranked No. 13 in the country on Wednesday night. In the on-and-off rain and intense humidity, the Phoenix were unable to break a six-game winless streak against the Seahawks who were yet to lose a game in the CAA conference, falling 2-0.

Volleyball falls to JMU in four sets

The Phoenix remains winless all-time against the Dukes, now sitting at a 0-10 career record. Senior outsider hitter Kam Terry said, “JMU is our biggest rival in the CAA, so we always come into the game really really excited, trying to get the win.”
