Elon women's tennis is looking to follow through on a promise

The loss of one match ended Elon University women’s tennis teams’ collective dream to make it to the conference title last year. The memory of losing to the College of William & Mary is keeping the team — especially head coach Elizabeth Anderson — motivated to achieve what last year’s team couldn’t.

Elon School of Communications hosts panel on media and the culture of shame

Four panelists sat down with Elon students to discuss the controversial aspects of media culture as well as media law and ethics. The four speakers were: Frank LoMonte, director of the Brechner Center for Freedom of Information at the University of Florida, Deborah Dwyer, a University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill doctoral student, Ryan Tuck, a media consultant and Christal Carmichael, a psychology instructor at North Carolina Central University.

Elon softball is coming out swinging

At the end of a historic season for Elon University’s softball team, head coach Kathy Bocock braced herself to lose seven seniors. Those seniors had been working together for the past four years, and according to Bocock, had a level of comfort with each other that could only come with experience.

Elon SGA elects new representatives for 2020

Miley won the election over junior Brandon Veal by 25 votes. According to SGA, 2,250 students voted, and Miley won by a 1.1% margin. Student participation in the election dropped by about 17% from last year, when 2,705 students voted.
