Elon honors pediatrician for uncovering the Flint water crisis

Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, the founding donor of The Flint Child Health and Development Fund, was honored with the Elon University Medal for Entrepreneurial Leadership for her activism. Attisha’s work led to the discovery of the Flint water crisis and helped start the initiative to replace lead pipes in the Michigan city.

Student start Club Table Tennis team at Elon

Junior Steven Mei and sophomore Adam Behrman met when they both competed in the fall 2018 intramural table tennis tournament hosted by Elon University. Now, they not only consider each other good friends, but they are also now teammates after creating the university’s first Club Table Tennis team together.

Dragstravaganza is a show involving both professional and student drag queens and kings. This spring’s show headlined an Elon alumnus, Stormie Daie, and her fellow professional queen, Naomi Dix.

SGA adds more greek life representatives in new legislative year

Student government is increasing representation in its senate in the 2019-2020 governing year by adding more senators to represent the greek community. Three senate positions were added to represent the Interfraternity Council — seven male fraternities on campus, the Panhellenic Association — nine female fraternities and sororities and the National Pan-Hellenic Council — seven historically African American fraternities and sororities at Elon University.
