Elon Dining struggles with staffing shortages

Elon University is one of many institutions nationwide facing labor shortages in its dining halls. These shortages result in a build up of dishes, delays in mobile orders and more work for employees. One dining worker, Kevin Taylor, has worked under Aramark Corporation since August 2004. Taylor, a dishwasher in Lakeside Dining Hall, has seen the staffing shortages lead to piles of dishes in the hallways of Lakeside’s kitchen.

Elon University hosts Iraq War panel 20 years after invasion

When the U.S. invaded Afghanistan in 2001, Ahmed Abdullah Al Fadaam, Elon University professor of communication design, lived with his wife and two children in Baghdad. He suspected Iraq would be next. Then in 2003, a mortar shell — an explosive weapon — fell in their neighbor’s yard, making his prediction a reality.

Elon University students look for counseling services elsewhere due to lack of accessibility on campus

According to its website, Elon’s student health and counseling services’ mission is to provide medical and mental health care to students. The university's counseling services offer students access to mental health support with a staff that is trained and prepared to help students with a wide range of educational, social and emotional challenges through goal-oriented therapeutic sessions.

SAMUELS: I won’t be playing Hogwarts Legacy

It felt like the internet was constantly reminding me of the existence of Hogwarts Legacy for the length of 2022, trying to sweep me up into the hype for the game. On Feb. 10, Portkey Games released the long anticipated Hogwarts Legacy to gamers and “Harry Potter” fans all across the world. Despite being such an influential intellectual property, The Wizarding World is no world I want a part of, especially not for $70.
