Elon University professors are uncertain whether or not to move their classes online after the university moved to the level 2 alert due to the latest increase of positive COVID-19 cases on campus. Professors already have the option to choose what method of instruction best suits their needs, but more are considering shifting their curriculum to an online setting starting next week. According to the Director Elon University News Bureau Owen Covington, no faculty is required to shift their classes online.
Two additional coronavirus clusters have been reported among Elon University student-athletes, bringing the total to three, according to an email to students from Vice President for Student Life Jon Dooley. Baseball, lacrosse and football all have clusters among their teams.
The committee to review the mutual aid agreement between Elon University Police and local law enforcement has recommended that the university stay in an agreement. According to the list of recommendations, it is “imperative to have broad mutual aid agreements.”
