A Burlington man, who worked at The Oak House coffee shop in downtown Elon as an assistant manager as of March 2026, has been charged with 10 additional charges of solicitation of a child by a computer and dissemination to a minor under 16 years of age, alongside 10 charges of sexual exploitation of a minor after initially being arrested March 5. The dissemination charges date back to November 2025.
23-year-old Roberto Allen Jimenez was initially charged with second-degree exploitation of a minor March 5 and taken to the Alamance County Detention Facility. Jimenez was taken into custody for being involved in possessing and disseminating child pornography.
According to case documents, Jimenez knowingly exhibited Snapchat material containing a video of a minor engaged in sexual activity. As of April 12, His bond has been set at $100,000 and he has not been released. He has a scheduled court hearing June 17.
Jimenez’s lawyer, Janice K. Brooks, said she was unavailable for an interview due to North Carolina Bar Rules of Professional Conduct, but provided a written statement to Elon News Network.
“Mr. Jimenez has been charged with a crime, the charge is merely an accusation, and Mr. Jimenez is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty,” Brooks wrote.
Jimenez’s current employment status at The Oak House is unknown.
The Alamance County Detention Center and Sheriff’s Office did not respond to ENN’s requests for comment.
