Local retirement community contributes aid to Ukraine

Residents at The Village at Brookwood have spent the past few weeks clearing their closets and filling suitcases. The Burlington retirement community has been collecting items to add to North Carolina’s aid and donations to Ukraine and neighboring European countries.

ELN: Elonthon raised almost 40% less at first in-person event in three years

Elonthon raised a total of $134,364 for kids at Duke Children’s Hospital this weekend. The 13.1-hour event raised 39% less than it did at its last fully in-person event in 2019. The total that year was nearly $350,000 and the event was 24 hours long.

Town of Elon Board of Aldermen special meeting about Aspen Avenue postponed
