While many Italians have said it was very strange for Pope Benedict XVI to resign, the newly selected Pope Francis has been welcomed with open arms by many Italians. Enrico Cecconi, a professor at Accademia Europea di Firenze, said he understands why the Pope wanted to resign because of his age.

Mill Point Problems

The Station at Mill Point has been advertised as an upscale apartment complex on a college campus but some students living at the Station say the buildings were not ready to house students on move-in day. "I actually had a person last week, they were putting an eye-hole, like a seeing hole on my door," said Joshua McGee, a resident at Mill Point.

Puppy found living in woods behind Danieley Center

UPDATE: The puppy has reportedly been rescued. Stay with us for updates. A puppy has recently taken residence in the forest behind Danieley building J at Elon University, prompting the attention of students, Campus Safety and Police and the Bayou Rescue Center, a state animal rescue organization. The dog was first spotted in the woods early last week.

Renowned folklorist gives insight into voices of poverty

Cashman has done extensive fieldwork throughout Ireland, specifically along the socioeconomically disadvantaged borderlands of Northern and Southern Ireland.

Class of 2016 music theater majors want to ‘Be Your Star’

Last week, the Class of 2016 music theater majors premiered their freshman showcase, “Let Me Be Your Star.” The show, created solely by the first-year students, acted as a debutante ball for the performers, according to freshman Ryan James Monroe, student director and cast member.

Elon University, Go Baby Go modify cars for children with mobility challenges

Elon University’s Innovation Hall was filled with the high-pitched hums of electric motors and the sounds of childhood play April 4. The noises came from the first Go Baby Go program at Elon, where the community takes standard electric toy cars and adapts them for children who cannot traditionally operate one.
