NC ABC Commission fines Paulie’s Pub and Grill over March 2021 incident

Paulie’s Pub and Grill was fined $5,000 for serving alcohol to four underage people in March 2021, according to a November 2022 violation report from the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission.

Town of Elon holds student focus group on future development

The town of Elon hired Benchmark Planning, a consulting firm based in Charlotte, to create a development plan for downtown. Members of the planning team Jason Epley and Dan Douglas are meeting with Elon University students, faculty and staff, as well as Elon locals and business owners, to figure out what would work best for the community.

Scott Leighty ‘09 has had a number of titles at Elon University. From student to senior engagement officer — and most recently, assistant director of annual giving — Leighty is now joining Elon University School of Law in Greensboro as the assistant dean for development and alumni relations.

Elon University Campus Safety and Police has earned reaccreditation from the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators. The department was first accredited by the association in 2018.

Elon University women's basketball loses second straight ACC matchup

The Elon women’s basketball team played its second-straight Atlantic Coastal Conference opponent to begin the season on Thursday, losing to No. 10 North Carolina State 89-55. The team did not give up though, according to head coach Charlotte Smith, who said she was proud of her players’ effort these past two games.
