Boom Supersonic selects Greensboro as site of aircraft manufacturing facility

The manufacturing facility will consist of the final assembly line test facility, along with an aircraft delivery center for customers. The factory is being built for their supersonic airliner called the Overture.

Carolina Sundries opens in downtown Burlington

CAA announces expansion, Hampton University becomes first HBCU to join league

The Colonial Athletic Association announced the addition of three new schools on Jan. 25. The league will expand to 12 full-fledged schools beginning on July 1, 2022. Among the additions is Hampton University, the first HBCU to join the league.

Elon University mask mandate extended through spring semester

The decision stems from high transmission of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus. According to the Healthy Elon dashboard, as of Jan. 24, there are 18 current active cases among students and 32 active cases among employees.

The show must go on” is a common mantra in theatre, and the Omicron variant is proving that it wouldn’t be possible for the show to go on without swings, understudies and standbys. These performers cover the lead and ensemble tracks in a production and are becoming a new kind of essential worker within the realm of theatre.

Elon University Jewish community heals through unity

In the spirit of teaching others to tolerate each other, Minkowitz said that the Chabad center will be offering a new course called “outsmarting antisemitism” starting this spring. The course is not offered for credit through Elon but is open to all in an effort to stop acts of antisemitism before it occurs.
