Kathryn Broussard beamed with pride as she spoke about the connections she has made through Elon University’s chapter of I Am That Girl. IATG is a national organization that focuses on providing a safe environment for young women and girls to create open and vulnerable dialogue. Not only has Broussard met some of her closest friends there, but she said she has the opportunity to continue conversations on women’s issues and other topics she is passionate about.

Feb. 22 through 26 is National Eating Disorder Awareness Week, which will coincide with the sixth year of Campus Recreation and Wellness’ Love Your Body Week. Greek life organizations, the Panhellenic and Interfraternity Councils, are now working to revise their plans for recruitment after Elon University ordered all fraternity and sorority activity to move to completely virtual environments. The order, issued to greek organizations Sunday, aims to limit small group interactions amid the coronavirus pandemic after multiple reports of parties and unmasked social gatherings.

A mere four pounds and full of energy, this week, Elon University President Connie Book welcomed home her new dog, Beaux Oakley. The 12-week-old Yorkshire Terrier was adopted from a breeder in Oak Ridge; a town about 35 miles west from Elon.
