The Elon University men’s basketball team lost its fifth straight game on Wednesday, Feb. 11 against the College of William & Mary Tribe 77-58. Three Phoenix players finished the night in double-figures starting with freshman guard Elijah Bryant who scored a team-leading 15 points.
A long two week stretch of losing continued for the Elon Men's Basketball team as the Phoenix fell for the fifth consecutive game, 58-77 on the road Wednesday night against William and Mary. Elon (11-15, 3-10) has dropped nine of its last ten games and sits only above College of Charleston in the CAA standings. William & Mary (16-8, 10-3) got out in front early, scoring 42 points in the first half.

The Greek system at Elon University is a social force to be reckoned with. It occupies too much of a presence on campus, and the pressure to rush has never been more intense. Many freshmen have fallen victim to the notion — whether it’s true or not — that they must pledge to a Greek organization or kiss their social life goodbye.
