Greg Zaiser, the Vice President of Admissions heard from many people who were upset by the national headlines about Chick-fil-A on Elon's campus last week. "It was not received well," Zaiser said.

The legislation to ban Chik-fil-a has sparked conversations all around Elon's campus, and the author of the legislation, senior Lauren Clapp, said she had no idea it would get so much attention. "It has become a horrible symbol that I hope does not stay much longer," Clapp said. But Clapp isn't the only one hearing negative feedback from students.

Men's soccer defeats Demon Deacons, breaks school wins record

On a night filled with heart-stopping, back and forth action, it’s only fitting that the leading goal-scorer in the nation, Elon University forward Chris Thomas, would send most of the 689 fans watching the game home with something to cheer about. After last Saturday’s 1-0 win over Appalachian State University, the Phoenix was able to capitalize on a Wake Forest University foul inside their own box in the 16th minute, which resulted in a Thomas penalty kick and the game’s lone goal to push Elon to a 1-0 victory over the No.

Chick-Fil-A Veto Upheld by Elon SGA

The Elon SGA voted 21-20-0 to uphold Executive President Darien Flowers' veto. Twenty seven votes were required to override the veto. With the veto upheld, SGA does not take a stance against Chick-Fil-A's presence on campus. The Elon administration ultimately has the final say in whether Chick-Fil-A will remain on campus.
