Current Elon town Mayor Jerry Tolley will run for re-election this Tuesday and says he is confident going into the election. "Well when you run unopposed, you feel pretty good," he says. Tolley has held the job for 12 years and still has goals for Elon's future. "We're working with consultants right now to look at the downtown area to see what we can do to revitalize it to get people from all over Alamance County and even Greensboro to make the town a destination place to come to eat, visit and have a good time," Tolley says.
