Heading into last Saturday’s matchup against Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) opponent James Madison University, the Elon University football team had picked up just 454 yards on the ground on 183 rushing attempts, good for a measly 2.5 yards per carry. Sparkle Cat Rescue was founded in November in 2014 with the goal to help the "forgotten felines" through fostering and adoption. Stephanie Grantham, president and co-founder of the organization, said that since starting the non-profit organization less than a year ago, they have saved approximately 130 cats. The win comes after Elon's first in Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) play- the Phoenix defeated the College of William and Mary Tribe on Saturday. "Our offense keeps getting better and better," said head coach Mary Tendler.
