Elon women's soccer searching for first SoCon finals berth on last chance

Ahead of the Elon women's soccer team in the semifinals of the Southern Conference Tournament against sixth-seeded Wofford is a match that poses a serious threat to Elon's tournament life, but also a resemblance of the 2012 semifinal. Last season, Elon bowed out against eighth-seeded Georgia Southern in the waning seconds of double overtime. In the match, Georgia Southern, defense kept the Elon offense at bay.

‘Dancing in the Black Box’ to showcase new choreography in intimate performance

For students in Elon University’s dance program, fall is synonymous with the main stage show, “Dancing in the Black Box,” which runs through Homecoming weekend this year. Jen Metcalf, this year’s director and assistant professor of dance, said Homecoming is a perfect time for the show, especially this year since it showcases work from choreographers with different connections to Elon. “We’re using faculty work up against student works,” Metcalf said.

Wheel of Fortune Auditions Coming to Burlington

Ever want to buy a vowel? Now's your chance. The Wheel of Fortune's Wheelmobile is coming to Burlington on Saturday, November 16, and people will have the opportunity to audition for the popular game show. Fans can fill out an application, and if their name is drawn at random, they will have the opportunity to play a simulated version of Wheel of Fortune onstage for the chance to win prizes and be evaluated as a potential contestant for the broadcast version of the show. Auditions will be at Alamance Crossing from 1-5 p.m between Kohl's and Dillard's. Staff members from the Wheel of Fortune promotions team will be handing out applications one hour before each show begins.
