Town of Elon votes to approve rezoning request

During the Dec. 13 work session meeting, Elon’s town council voted unanimously to approve the rezoning request for Tax Parcel 108932, the land located at the intersection of University Drive and Cook Road. Previously, according to the town’s Land Development Ordinance, the land was zoned for industrial use and now it is suburban residential.

Elon University charters first Asian-interest sorority

After working for more than three years to get a bid to charter a chapter on campus, Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. is now officially the first Asian-interest sorority at Elon University. The organization was formerly the interest group known as EMPRESS— Elon Maintaining Pan-Asian Respect, Equity and Social Service.

Elon University welcomes new faces to women’s basketball team

Starting 4-2 on the season, Elon women’s basketball has created a solid foundation to further team development and success — with eight freshmen added to the roster this year. Freshmen Raven Preston and Chloe Williams’ journeys to getting on the roster differ, but the foundation of hard work and relentless determination remains consistent.
