25th annual Burlington Carousel Festival offers affordable fun for community

New York City has the Empire State Building, Los Angeles has the Hollywood sign and Burlington has the Dentzel Menagerie Carousel. But don’t underestimate its influence – the 100-year-old carousel is the reason for the beloved annual Burlington Carousel Festival, which will celebrate its 25th anniversary this weekend. “The festival is centered around the historic carousel,” said Mary Faucette, special events supervisor for the Burlington Recreation & Parks Department.

The family of 90-year-old is offering a $2000 reward for any pertinent information that leads to her safe return. Call to Honor ceremony refines university values

The prominent four words in the honor code-- honesty, integrity, responsibility and respect -- encompass the values of the institution, and the Call to Honor ceremony demonstrates Elon University students' commitment to those principles. Although University President Leo Lambert leads the pledge to the honor code, students conduct the majority of the ceremony.
