Redshirt sophomore Ned Hull has announced his decision to transfer to Virginia Tech University on Instagram April 27.

Hull announced his decision to enter the transfer portal March 23 through social media.

Hull joined the team as a walk-on in 2023. He developed into Elon’s primary shooter off the bench, knocking down 34 3-pointers this season. He averaged 4.5 points, shooting 35.8% from the 3-point line in his final season as a Phoenix.

He was also Elon’s leading scorer in its loss to the College of William & Mary in the first round of the Coastal Athletic Association tournament this season.

Hull scored six points via two 3-pointers in Elon’s 82-81 loss to the Hokies in the 2025-2026 season.

Virginia Tech men’s basketball went 19-13 this season, finishing 11th in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The ACC is part of a cluster of conferences referred to as the ‘Power 4,’ the most competitive in the NCAA.

Elon Athletics spokesperson Gerrit Van Genderen told ENN that athletics had no comment.
