Elon crosswalkers in danger as they cross streets without caution

“You have got to be kidding me!” a student exclaims as a car speeds through the crosswalk that bridges McEwen to West Haggard without slowing or stopping, disregarding students eager for Acorn or heading to class. North Carolina law 20-175 states that the driver of a vehicle must stop to give the right-of-way to a pedestrian crossing at an intersection if a stop sign or stop light is not in place.

Uneven laundry facilities irk students

Elon loses groove, struggles to respond in loss at UNCG

GREENSBORO — A momentum shift midway through the match once again proved to be Elon University’s undoing. The Phoenix volleyball team fell into a lull to start the second set in a 3-0 (25-23, 25-13, 25-19) loss to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro on Tuesday night in Fleming Gym. UNCG, which hit .308 (46 kills, 13 assists, 107 attempts) as a team, stole all the momentum early in the second set, racing out to leads of 7-2 and 12-3, both of which prompted Elon timeouts. A stretch later of seven straight Spartans points put them up 21-6. “They put a lot more pressure on us serving,” Elon head coach Mary Tendler said.

'Reckless' combines laughter, discomfort (Review)

Even these praises don’t do justice to the Elon University Performing Arts Department’s production of “Reckless.” Craig Lucas’ dark comedy uses Christmastime as the backdrop to tragedy, as protagonist Rachel runs away after her husband takes a contract out on her life.

She passed away recently at the age of 82, leaving behind a legacy of mentorship, compassion, and dedication to the campus community.
