Coronavirus precautions cause CAA to cancel women's basketball tournament

Television producer Leonard Dick announced as commencement speaker

Missing teen reported in Elon

The Alamance County Sheriff's Office reported a missing teenager on Friday morning. 15-year-old Kayla Brooke Bradley was last seen at her home on Altamahaw Church Street in Elon. The  Sheriff's Office described Bradley as five feet tall with brown/blonde hair and blue eyes.

The Elon University football team has not found the same success this season as they did last year. Despite that, the team sits at .500 (4-4) and has a winning record in the Colonial Athletic Association. The Phoenix will look to improve its marks when the College of William and Mary comes into town for homecoming weekend on Nov. 2.

Elon University historian George Troxler has died

Elon University historian and professor emeritus George Troxler died on Sunday, Oct. 27 at the age of 77. A service will be held at Elon Community Church on Friday, Nov. 1 at 3 p.m.

13 total confirmed cases of mumps at Elon

Updated on Monday, Dec. 9  — Vice President for Student Life Jon Dooley confirmed in an email that there are two additional cases of mumps in Elon students, bringing the total to 13 for the academic year. According to the email, The Alamance County Health Department has administered 2,261 vaccinations this semester as of Dec. 9.

Reigning CAA Men's Golfer of the Year transfers after physical altercation with Director of Athletics' son

The reigning Colonial Athletic Association Men’s Golfer of the Year and conference Leadership and Ethics Award winner will not be returning to finish his collegiate career in maroon and gold. William Harwood transferred to the University of Memphis following an altercation last spring with former teammate Dustin Blank, son of Elon University’s Director of Athletics, Dave Blank.
