The team won its first conference match on Oct. 17 at the College of William & Mary. Head coach Mary Tendler believes that as the Phoenix learns to work together as a cohesive unit, the wins will follow. “We looked really confident [in the Oct. 8 match against the College of Charleston] in all situations,” Tendler said. “When you’re confident, you’re going to play well, and that showed. When we’re like that, we’re a tough team to beat.”
