Column: Hamilton's experience shines for Elon

As Christian Hairston rattled off a touching sentiment, Austin Hamilton was to his left with a smirk on his face. “That was cute,” said Hamilton, the center of attention after his career-high 31 points lifted the Elon University men’s basketball team over the University of Delaware 94-82. Elon shooting struggles continue in loss to Towson

With 1.7 seconds left on the clock and the Elon University Men's Basketball Team trailing 53-51, Elijah Bryant hoisted a three-pointer from 27 feet away, but like the Phoenix's other attempts-- it didn't fall-- and Towson left Alumni Gym with the win. The shooting struggles continued for the Phoenix, as the team shot just 28 percent from the field, including just 20 percent in the first half. But despite the poor game offensively, Elon was in it the whole time, and even had a chance to take the lead with 31 seconds to go.
