First-half flurry lifts Chanticleers past Phoenix in men's soccer

Against a ranked team on the road in No. 24 Coastal Carolina University, the Elon University men’s soccer team hoped to lean on its stout defense, which has allowed just five goals going in to the game against the Chanticleers. Family Weekend evolves but keeps traditions going

Elon University father Drew Bachman said he was surprised when he saw his son, first-year Chris Bachman, during Family Weekend 2014. “My son seemed more happy to see us than ever before,” Drew Bachman said. Family Weekend was a time for students to reunite with their families and show them their home away from home as they visited with professors, enjoyed musical performances and supported the Phoenix at the Elon vs.

Road games fill Elon men's hoops nonconference schedule

The Elon University men's basketball team better pack its bags — and not just because of the travel that comes with joining the Colonial Athletic Association. The Phoenix will play just four home nonconference games during the 2014/2015 season, with two of them coming during the opening weekend of the season.

Injuries add pressure for Elon volleyball

When searching for a substitution, Elon University head volleyball coach Mary Tendler hasn’t been left with many options as of late. Elon has had six players miss time because of injuries in the last two weeks, depleting an already small roster into one with little leeway for variety. The Phoenix has 13 players listed on its roster, which is small for a Division I school.

Germany's consul general talks transatlantic trade at Elon

With the international economy becoming more and more intertwined, Consul General Christoph Sander of the Federal Republic of Germany came to Elon University Wednesday evening to talk transatlantic trade and ongoing economic issues within his home country. The Business German Speaker Series worked with the Student Professional Development Center to bring Sander to campus.

Writing Center adapts to deal with growth

Despite Elon University’s “slow growth” trajectory, as outlined under the Elon Commitment, appointments to the Writing Center have increased a little faster, with consultations more than doubling within the last six years.
