Elon’s women’s basketball team returns to action this Friday, Feb. 11, as the Phoenix travel to UNC Wilmington to face off against the Seahawks. Elon will look to defeat the Seahawks and gain momentum before heading to the CAA conference tournament in just over a month’s time.
The Phoenix will return to action on Thursday, Feb. 10, for a rematch against the James Madison Dukes. The Phoenix won the first round in commanding fashion, 90-67. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m on FloSports.
Elon has now lost three consecutive Colonial Athletic Association games and has a 2-6 conference record. The team finishes its four game homestand on Sunday against Towson, with tipoff scheduled for 2 p.m.

Elon returns to Schar Center on Saturday for another conference game against the College of Charleston Cougars. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
Thomas will have one year of athletic eligibility remaining at Samford. The Bulldogs, Samford’s football team, are a member of the Southern Conference and went 4-7 last season.
With the loss, Elon remains winless in road games this season and falls to 3-6 in Colonial Athletic Association games. The team returns home for a game against the University of North Carolina Wilmington Seahawks on Feb. 3 at 7 p.m.
Elon, now 2-4 in the CAA, is back in action Jan. 30 at 2 p.m. at Schar Center against the University of Delaware Blue Hens, who hold a 5-1 CAA record with the only loss against first-place Drexel.
This win improves Elon’s conference record to 3-5. The two teams will square off again on Jan. 29 in Williamsburg, Virginia. The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
The Colonial Athletic Association announced the addition of three new schools on Jan. 25. The league will expand to 12 full-fledged schools beginning on July 1, 2022. Among the additions is Hampton University, the first HBCU to join the league.
The Colonial Athletic Association will host a press conference Jan. 25 to discuss “membership matters,” according to an advisory issued by the conference. Conference Commissioner Joe D’Antonio will speak at 10:30 a.m. Follow along here for updates from the press conference.

Elon returns to action on Jan. 21 when it travels to face Clemson University.
The team will have a chance to recover and regroup before facing off against the James Madison University Dukes, who sit at 2-1 in the conference. The two teams have not seen each other since the Phoenix knocked the Dukes out of the CAA tournament last year in a tight 72-71 victory.
