There have been several dance performances in the past that have been site-specific, but this is considered by writer and director sophomore Matthew Bobzien to be the first within the performing arts department on the theatre side.

Florence study abroad program sees increased enrollment

According to Bill Burress, director of study abroad at Elon University, programs like Florence, Italy have seen an increase in enrollment because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In a normal semester, Burress said programs are limited to no more than 80 students, but this year, that’s changed.

Elon University alumni to return in-person after last year’s virtual reunion

Elon University’s Homecoming and Reunion Weekend will be held fully in-person from Nov. 5 to 7. After last year’s Homecoming celebration was virtual because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the university is expecting roughly 2,000 alumni to return to campus.

The construction worker was distraught and needed help — he and his family were in jeopardy of being evicted from their home.

Elon University tuition increase for upcoming academic year remains unclear

Following the board of trustees meeting, as of Oct. 26, the university has not announced any change in tuition for the 2022-23 school year. According to a university spokesperson, while the board did adopt a budget for next year, the information from the budget will be shared with the Elon community “in the future.”

Childcare difficulties push Elon University professors to seek university assistance

Childcare in the town of Elon is a challenge for communications professor Kathleen Stansberry, and has been a consistent struggle since Elon University shut down in March 2020, the same time her three kids were also sent home from Elon Elementary.  But even after the return to in-person learning, this experience has only continued for Stansberry, and other faculty members are facing it too.

Elon University poll finds support for additional COVID-19 booster shots among North Carolina adults
