UPDATED: 9:54 a.m., February 12. Due to the weather forecast, the Elon University athletic department has announced postponements of four events for Wednesday, February 12. The scheduled softball home opener against the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has been cancelled and will be made up at 5:30 p.m.

Evidence suppressed in United States v. Alexis Gray

Freshman arrested Friday for felony drug charges, misdemeanors

An Elon University freshman was arrested Friday, Feb. 7 inside his Danieley I apartment for five drug-related charges. Orion Ezra Sires, 19, was arrested by the Elon Police Department for three felony charges: possession of marijuana with intent to sell or deliver, manufacturing of marijuana and maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or other place for controlled substances. The freshman was also arrested for two misdemeanors: possession of drug paraphernalia and  possession of up to one-half ounce of marijuana. Bond was set at $30,000.
