Many candidates for SGA positions run unopposed in upcoming election

Out of the nearly 40 positions students can run for, only four of those races are contested.

Elon University classes cancelled due to weather

By Al Drago ELON, N.C. - All classes at Elon University have been canceled after 3:30 p.m. according to a email by Dean of Students Smith Jackson sent to students due to the inclement weather forecast for this afternoon. Campus will operate under a delayed schedule tomorrow starting at 10:00 a.m. Classes will meet for one hour and 15 minutes, starting with the 8:00 a.m.

Men's basketball overpowered by hot-shooting James Madison

The Elon University men’s basketball team lost to James Madison on Saturday, 86-75. Despite a strong offensive showing by Elon, the Dukes overpowered the Phoenix on the other end of the floor. Freshman guard Elijah Bryant scored 18 points, while senior guard Austin Hamilton had 16.

Asher's four goals leads women's lacrosse past Longwood

The Elon University women’s lacrosse team defeated Longwood University on Saturday, 10-7, thanks to Stephanie Asher’s four goals. Asher, a freshman midfielder for the Phoenix, took a total of seven shots during the game, scoring three in the second half alone.

Elon moves to 3-0 after series sweep of Penn State

The Elon University baseball team closed out its opening weekend on Saturday, Feb. 14 with a doubleheader against the Penn State University Nittany Lions. The Phoenix won both games to claim a series sweep and officially start the spring season undefeated at 3-0. In its two games on Saturday, Elon scored a combined 18 runs; two runs more than it scored in Friday’s game against Penn State.
