Elon University football player joins battle against breast cancer

Jon Seaton currently has over 1.8 million followers on TikTok thanks to his name, image and likeness deal, which helps all kinds of collegiate athletes achieve influence and enhance their careers. Seaton partnered with Outback Steakhouse in October. Now, he and the restaurant chain are working to help in the fight against cancer with Fighting Pretty, a nonprofit organization created by Kara Frazier to empower women during and after cancer treatment.

Colonial Athletic Association signs agreement with CBS Sports, FloSports

A new media rights deal has been signed between the Colonial Athletic Association, CBS Sports and FloSports, according to a press conference held by CAA commissioner Joe D’Antonio Feb. 9. The CAA encompasses 13 full member teams, one of which being Elon University.

Elon University volleyball alumna takes her talents off the court and into coaching

Elon volleyball alumna Haylie Clark is the newest addition to the Bucknell University volleyball staff after recently accepting the position of assistant coach by the university. The setter from Saint Cloud, Florida, played for five seasons at Elon, graduating with a major in sport management.

Elon University women's basketball fights racism on, off court

Facing opponents on the basketball court has never been a challenge for Elon women’s basketball head coach Charlotte Smith. Her main obstacle, however, has been overcoming years of hatred and racism she faced while growing up as an African American woman. Smith has been coaching the Phoenix for 11 seasons. The team will be spending February remembering, honoring and celebrating Black History Month. Smith said it’s important that the women on her team are educated and informed about influential African Americans throughout history.
