Elon student hit by car on E. Haggard Ave.

Elon University freshman Caroline Bauer was hit by a car on East Haggard Avenue at 3:23 p.m. today. Sue Ellen McKinney, a Burlington resident, was driving. Bauer was crossing the crosswalk near Powell Building when she was hit.

Student Hit by Car on East Haggard Avenue

A first-year, female Elon student was hit by a car on East Haggard Avenue today, at the crosswalk outside of the Powell building, according to Director of the Elon University New Bureau's, Eric Towsend, Twitter account. According to Alamance County Communications, Elon Police and EMS responded to a call around 3:23 p.m.

Ford, Elon top Appalachian State for first time in eight tries

Five days before the Elon University women’s basketball team will honor its seniors in their final home game of 2013, they and the rest of the Phoenix accomplished something they haven’t been able to do since prior to the class of 2013 arriving on campus: Win against Appalachian State University. “We played really well tonight,” senior guard Ali Ford said of Elon’s monumental 75-58 victory against the visiting Mountaineers.

Baseball takes two in Caravelle Resort Baseball Tournament

On a rainy weekend in Myrtle Beach, S.C., the Elon University baseball team played a lot of waiting games. Due to predicted rains throughout the weekend, the tournament, hosted by Coastal Carolina University, was moved up a day to allow the first scheduled games to be played without having to worry about making the games up later in the weekend.
