Elon University’s men’s soccer wins first outright CAA regular season title

A 0-0 tie against UNC Wilmington secured a first ever outright regular season CAA title for the Elon University men’s soccer team. The Phoenix will be the No. 1 seed in the CAA Tournament, which Elon will host at Rudd Field.

Elon University’s fall main stage musical celebrates identity, community

“Head Over Heels” is a The Go-Go’s jukebox musical based on “The Arcadia” by Sir Philip Sydney, which creates a contrast between its Elizabethean era, Shakespeare-style dialogue and rock music score. Remaining performances in McCrary Theatre are at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29 and at 7:30 p.m. on both Nov. 3 and Nov. 4.

Team 5 announced as winners of Elon University's 2022 Greek Week

On the final day of Greek Week, Interfraternity Council and Panhellenic Association organizations were recognized for the week’s accomplishments at an awards ceremony on Medallion Plaza. Team 5, consisting of Delta Delta Delta, Kappa Delta and Sigma Pi, were the overall winners of Greek Week. The team also won the Philanthropy Award.

Despite scoring a goal to pull within one in the closing minutes, the Elon University women’s soccer team could not find an equalizer, as the Phoenix suffered a season-ending 2-1 loss to Towson in the quarterfinals of the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament.

Social House to open Elon SUB's fall concert

To see both Social House and Verdes at Elon, students can purchase tickets for $10 until 11:59 p.m. Nov. 1 through the Elon ticketing site. Those looking to pay with Phoenix Cash can go to the Student Involvement Office in Moseley Center 205.

New polling location opens at Elon University's South Gym

For the first time, there is an early voting location in the town of Elon. Elon University’s South Gym was added as a polling place by the Alamance County Board of Elections in July. Now, voters registered in Alamance County can cast their votes on campus.

Elon University’s Greek Week continues with strong philanthropic focus

The third day of Greek Week was Philanthropy Day, and members of the fraternity and sorority community selected Habitat for Humanity as the week’s philanthropy. Kappa Delta raised the most money and totaled $15,313. At the end of Day 3, Team 5 surpassed Team 1 in the standings to take the lead.

Town of Elon council approves new residence hall

Beginning in June 2023, Elon University will be home to an additional residence hall in East Neighborhood. The new building will have 90 beds as well as a common area for students located at the front of the building.

Elon University’s Greek Week continues with field day competition

The second day of Greek Week featured a field day on the Phi Beta Kappa Commons. Affiliated students had opportunities to earn points for their team by participating in events or showing up in support. Team 2 was the only team that moved up in the rankings on Tuesday.
