Women's tennis drops Friday afternoon duel to FGCU
The Elon University women’s tennis team couldn’t get enough wins in the singles, falling to Florida Gulf Coast University 4-3 Friday afternoon. “We’re making some strides," said head coach Elizabeth Anderson. "We’ve played a really tough schedule, so that makes it a little more challenging, but I think it will pay off for us in the long run." Elon dropped the doubles point, but freshman Suzanne Zenoni got the Phoenix on the board with her win over sophomore Julianna Curtis in straight sets 6-2, 6-1.
