Elon drops 12-inning tilt with High Point
Days after losing a tight one at home to High Point University, the Elon University baseball team fell to the Panthers, 2-1, in 12 innings March 5 at High Point. With one out in the 12th and runners at the corners, High Point center fielder Josh Greene lofted a 3-2 pitch into center, good for a sacrifice fly and to score the winning run. The Panthers drew a leadoff walk from Elon senior Jacob Baker, and Elon coach Mike Kennedy pulled Baker in favor of freshman Dimitri Lettas.
