Mold discovered in Elon's Loy Center addressed by Physical Plant

UPDATED: This story has been updated to include new information shared by the Delta Delta Delta house captain. It’s been a moldy start to the school year for Elon University. One house in the Loy Center has been recently evacuated, and another was given the option because of poor air quality stemming from a mold buildup inside the Delta Delta Delta house at Loy Center R and the Sigma Phi Epsilon house at Loy Center N.

Orchard uses fruit to teach stewardship

One local orchard uses the fruits of its labor to teach children about stewardship. The Millstone Creek Orchard is located in Ramseur, N.C., about 45 minutes from Elon University.

Wills, Hofstra fly past Elon in CAA volleyball opener

A relatively unknown opponent and the preseason Player of the Year met the Elon University volleyball team in its first Colonial Athletic Association match ever. That unfamiliarity proved to provide some excitement and close competition early, but senior outside hitter Kelsie Wills hammered home 23 kills to power Hofstra University to a 3-1 (25-21, 25-18, 19-25, 25-21) victory over Elon Sept.

First-half flurry lifts Chanticleers past Phoenix in men's soccer

Family Weekend evolves but keeps traditions going

Elon University father Drew Bachman said he was surprised when he saw his son, first-year Chris Bachman, during Family Weekend 2014. “My son seemed more happy to see us than ever before,” Drew Bachman said. Family Weekend was a time for students to reunite with their families and show them their home away from home as they visited with professors, enjoyed musical performances and supported the Phoenix at the Elon vs.

Road games fill Elon men's hoops nonconference schedule

The Elon University men's basketball team better pack its bags — and not just because of the travel that comes with joining the Colonial Athletic Association. The Phoenix will play just four home nonconference games during the 2014/2015 season, with two of them coming during the opening weekend of the season.
