Megan Gravley says goodbye to volleyball

Elon University volleyball senior outside hitter Megan Gravley injured her knee Oct. 17 against the College of William & Mary. Gravley posted a status on Facebook one week later, stating that the injury ended her volleyball career. With her permission, The Pendulum is printing her first-hand account.

Volleyball sweeps North Carolina A&T

The Elon University volleyball team won its second game in a row Tuesday, sweeping North Carolina A&T State University 3-0 (25-8, 25-20, 25-13). The win comes after the Phoenix's first in Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) play, when the Phoenix defeated the College of William & Mary Saturday.

Volleyball wins first CAA match of season

The Elon University volleyball team picked up its first win in Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) conference play this season with a 3-1 (25-23, 20-25, 25-20, 25-16) win at the College of William and Mary. The win snaps a 12-game losing streak in conference play dating back to Oct. 31 of last year.

Volleyball seeking ways to improve in every game

More than half the way through its second season as a member of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA), the Elon University volleyball team is 4-17.  The Phoenix is struggling in what has been a rebuilding year after adding six new players — five of whom are freshmen. The team won its first conference match on Oct. 17 at the College of William & Mary.

Terry has career night as volleyball falls to College of Charleston

Freshman outside hitter Kam Terry had a career night, but the Elon University volleyball team fell to Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) rival the College of Charleston 3-1 (25-17, 21-25, 25-20, 26-24). Terry led the Phoenix offensively with 18 kills on the night and finished with 11 blocks in the match.

Gravley's 1,000 kills a testament to consistency

The Elon University volleyball team split its final two contests of the Popcorn Classic in Valparaiso, Ind. on Saturday. The Phoenix first lost 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-23) to Kennesaw State University but rebounded with a sweep (25-15, 25-20, 25-13) of Savannah State University in its fourth and final game of the tournament.

Volleyball drops both matches Friday

The Elon University volleyball team dropped back-to-back matches at the Popcorn Classic in Valparaiso, Ind. on Friday. Elon struggled in both matches, falling to Loyola University Chicago in four sets before being swept by the host team, Valparaiso University.
