The room was packed Feb. 25 as L.D. Russell, a religious studies professor at Elon University, delivered a presentation on the relationship between music and spirituality and how both give meaning to human lives. Russell explained how both music and religion provide comfort, community and identity for many young people. “Music is a quiet revolution among young people, and you’re creating new spiritualties,” Russell said.
