After working for more than three years to get a bid to charter a chapter on campus, Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. is now officially the first Asian-interest sorority at Elon University. The organization was formerly the interest group known as EMPRESS— Elon Maintaining Pan-Asian Respect, Equity and Social Service.

Meredith Smith, former Elon University admissions staff member, died unexpectedly on Nov. 27 at 35 years old. Smith started her work in admissions as an undergraduate student and worked with the university for over 18 years.

HIGH POINT – The Elon University men’s basketball team recorded its seventh straight loss of the season Wednesday night, falling 84-70 to the Panthers of High Point University.
