My name is P.J. Collins, and I am an Account Executive at Live Oak Communications. My client, Zack Wyatt is interested in speaking with you about his event. He is the founder of the Carolina Jubilee Music Festival, which is held about 80 minutes away from Elon's campus, in beautiful Harmony, NC.
The 2nd annual Carolina Jubilee is on the weekend of September 30 to October 3, 2016. The goal of the jubilee is to promote community and sustainability, as well as to raise money to support local farms. This year we have over 20 artists performing music in multiple genres including bluegrass, folk and indie-rock.
With the Carolina Jubilee, Wyatt plans to get younger generations interested in homegrown businesses and raise awareness on the importance of local, organic farming; and he sees music as the perfect way to start the process! Sticking with the theme of building community, Carolina-based microbreweries, wineries, and farm related vendors will be present at the Carolina Jubilee to showcase their products and educate the festivalgoers.
Any music lovers looking for a concert experience that is close-to-home and fits the standard "college student budget" will certainly enjoy the jubilee. Elon students can experience the event by turning it into a day-trip or coming to the full two-day festival by camping out overnight!
He can be contacted for more information at zack@carolinafarmtrust.org
Or go on the Carolina Jubilee's Facebook page: (https://www.facebook.com/jubileecarolina).
He would be more than happy to speak with you to arrange an interview.
