Jean Rattigan-Rohr, associate professor of education, has been named executive director of community partnerships at Elon University.
The position makes her a permanent member of President Leo Lambert’s senior staff.
In addition to her new duties as executive director of community partnerships, Rohr will continue to direct Elon’s Center for Access and Success. She will assume additional responsibilities by representing the university in the Triad with a focus on providing leadership for socioeconomic diversity and educational access at Elon.
The Kingston, Jamaica native developed a passion for teaching at an early age, which led her to join Elon's School of Education in 2007.
Since 2007, Rohr has supported and founded numerous community interest initiatives, which has helped her earn respect from colleagues and community members.
“Dr. Rattigan-Rohr has provided outstanding vision and leadership for Elon, developing strong bonds between the university and local schools, agencies and organizations,” said Provost Steven House. "She is an exceptionally talented and respected educator who is dedicated to improving the lives of people in our community."
