The impending rain from Hurricane Joaquin has forced postponements of matches for both the Elon University men's and women's soccer teams this weekend.
The women's team was scheduled to host the College of William & Mary Friday, while the men's team was to face Northeastern University Saturday. Neither match has a makeup date determined yet.
According to Weather.com, Elon is estimated to receive 5-8 inches of rain. The area is also under a flash flood warning, which starts at 8 p.m. tonight and lasts until 8 p.m. Sunday.
The next match for the women's team is 7 p.m. Monday at Francis Marion University. The men will not be in action again until 7 p.m. Oct. 10, against Lipscomb University.
